ACTORS & ACTRESSES

The actors & actresses of Mirrorman were specialy nominated ,because the darama has two sides:some members need the talent to perform battle action scenes and also they were required to act in acordance with the drama which has the emotional situations on screen.They were the group of the new faces and the expert actors.

ミラーマンの男優、女優はそのドラマが２つの側面をもっていることから特別に指名されたものとなっていた。すなわち何人かは戦闘シーンをこなす必要もあり、また一方でスクリーン上で感情的な状況を持つドラマに応じ演技をする必要性もあるからである。彼らは新人グループと専門俳優からなっていた。

Mr.Ishida ,Miss Sawada & Ichiji were among young new faces ,and other men ,at that time,were above 30years old.Looking at age, Mr Usami as Dr.lMItarai is oldest . So Mr.Usami was virtually the cheif who managed the actors to procceed photographing smoothly .Mr,Wazaki and Mr.Kudo ,the expert actors were alike elder brothers for the young new faces.

石田、沢井、市地氏は若手ニューフェイスであり、当時ほかのメンバーは30才以上の役者であった。御手洗博士役の宇佐美淳也氏がもっとも年上であり、事実上撮影が円滑にいくように管理をするマネジャーでもあった。和崎氏と工藤氏は専門俳優でほかの新人には兄弟のようであった。

Each actor and actress differs from the career、because some of them,Mr Usami & Mr.Kudo are from Daiei and Mr.Wazaki mainly from Toei (at that time, a free lance actor,though) Mr.Sugiyama from

Nikattu, Mr.Ishida and Miss. Sawai were the graduates from Toho entertainment academy -

from the other point of view,Tuburaya Production nominated these stars without sticking to the difference

of the companies so that Mirrorman would be more successful.,ie A new challenge.

In spite of the differences ,all the actors and actress say," Anyway,we shared any feeling and minds with each other ,acting without regarding the program as one for only children.We believe "Mirrorman" would be inherited from a person to another in any age."

それぞれの男優、女優はキャリアが異なっており、宇佐美、工藤氏のように何人かは大映出身、和崎氏は東映出身（当時はフリー）杉山氏は日活、石田氏　沢井氏は東宝芸能アカデミーという具合であった。見方を変えれば円谷プロダクションはミラーマンがより成功を導けるよう企業間の違いに固執せず指名したことになる。新しいチャレンジである。

その違いをもってしてでも、そのあらゆる男優女優は”とにかく気持ちを同じくし分かち合い、子供向け番組と思わず演じた。ミラーマンはどの世代の人々にも受けつがれる自信がある。”と語っている。

Mr.Syunya Wazaki

as Hiroshi Murakami (chlef of S.G.M)

Hiroshi Murakami is the cheif of S.G.M,obliged to quit police detective on acount of invaders'plots.Murakami is the faithful &cool chief,supporting Dr. MIratai.He is acutually the director of SGM,but in the last part of the episodes,he pilots Jumbo Phenix Jet fighter and fiights with SGM members and Mirrorman.

Mr.Syunya Wazaki is the expert actor,mainly acted inJapanese traditional movies,what we call "Jidaigeki" He acted many samurais

or people in those days.His career is matured enough to perform battle action scenes even in MIrrorman.

The most vivid movie he acted in is the

"Thirteen Assasins" presented by Toei Co,.LTD.A young samurai named Rihei

Ishizuka,who dies for the suffering people.Mr.Wazaki is also an nice gentleman ,making much of the good relations among the staff,as if he reflected Samurai spirits in his dairy life.

和崎俊哉氏は専門俳優であり、主に日本の時代劇に出演した。多くの侍や当時の人々を演じており、そのキャリアでミラーマンでの戦闘シーンでさえも円熟した演技を見せている。もっとも鮮烈な役は東映配給の”13人の刺客”（1965）で苦難の人々を救う石塚利平という若侍であた。和崎氏は多くのスタッフの人間関係を大切にする紳士であり、日常生活でも侍の心を映し出した名優である。

Mr.Nobuyuki Ishida

as Kyotaro Kagami (Mirror Man)

Kyotaro Kagami is described as a young man with the blood of both human being and Mirrorman in 2nd dimension.His father is also a MirriorMan who was defeated by invaders . His mother,the assistant of Dr.Mitarai was kidnapped by the invadars,so thatDr.Mitarai takes care of him.

In 51episodes,kyotaro transformed into Mirrorman , fighting the invaders and the big monsters .

Mr.Nobuyuki Ishida is the hero of

Mirriorman,also the new face of Tuburaya Productions.Before he got the glory of Mirrorman,he had many hardships.but overcoming

the hardles,he completly acted Mirroman from the beginning tothe end of the episode. He has a 2ndDan ofJudo association,showing nice movements in many action scenes. He still beloved by many Mirrorman fans.He is now a C.E.O

of an agency ,producing many theaters and movies.

石田信之氏はミラーマンの主人公であり、円谷プロのニューフェイスである。ミラーマンでの光栄を得る以前には多くの辛苦を経験していたがそれを乗り越え1話から最後まで完璧に演じた。石田氏は柔道2段の腕前を持ってあらゆるアクションシーンですばらしい動きを見せている。今でもミラーマンのファンが多く、現在ではあるプロダクションの代表で演劇や映画をプロデユースしている。

Mr.Jynya Usami

as Dr.Mitarai

Dr.Mitarai is the scientist who discoverd the invasion of the aliens,but this fact is veiled to the world.So he established Science Gard Members.(S.G.M) which detects the invader's plot and if nessary,

they request Self Defence Force of the earth to scramble against them.

Besieds that,he created such wepons

as Sol Guns or Jumbo Phoenix Jet fighter

with other scientists

Mr.Junya Usami is a famous actor

to the old fans .He acted in "BanShun"

(1949 ) by the great director Mr.Yasujiro Ono and acted in many old movies.He belonged to Sinko Cinema & Daiei Co,.LTd.

In Mirror man's actors team,he was acutually a teacher to the young actors.He especially instructed manners to the young men so that they glow as nice actors and actresses .

A little stubborn,but a real gentleman,

Mr.Usami was respected by all staffs.

宇佐美淳也氏はオールドファンにとって著名な俳優である。宇佐美氏は偉大な監督小野安二郎による”晩春”で出演されており、多くのオールド映画に出演している。当時新興キネマと大映に所属していた。ミラーマンの俳優チームでは事実上若手の俳優に対しての先生であった。特に若手俳優が良い俳優に成長するようマナーを教えていた。少し頑固ではあるが真の紳士であり、すべてのスタッフから尊敬を受けていた。

Mr.kentaro Kudo

as Takshi Fujimoto of S.G.M

Takeshi Fujimoto is a member of S.G.M

whose character is brave but sometimes

careless.He fights invaders and detects invader's plots.He mainly shows battle action scences,punching ,kicking and

piloting jet fighter.Fujimoto is also a nice

elder friend to Kyotaro ,suggesting how to overcome the hardships.

Mr.Kentaro Kudo is a very famous actor in Japan.graduated from "Haiyu-za" the eminent actor school.He was the hero of his debut program " Sunset and Gun"(Yuuhi to Knjyu) Afterwards he acted many characters from a merchant in Edo era to a high school teacher of nowadays.

His tatent of speech is exceptional,(Very smooth!) In Mirrorman ,we see his enthusiasm in every scene - a nice man

never giving up and never stops making

efforts.His action scenes are worth watching , even if we buy all episodes of Mirrorman DVD by Toei.,Co Ltd.

工藤健太郎氏は日本では大変有名な俳優であり、俳優の優秀な専門学校「俳優座」を卒業している。デビュー作は「夕日と拳銃」の主人公であった。その後工藤氏は江戸時代の商人から現代の高校教師まであらゆる役を演じた。その語りの才能は実に秀でている。ミラーマンではあらゆるシーンでその演技の熱意を見ることができ、決して弱音を吐かない人物であり、その演技は東映で販売しているＤＶＤをすべて買ってでも見る価値に充分値する。

Mr.Hajime　Sugiyama

as Hidehiko　Yasuda of S.G.M

Hidehiko Yasuda is also the immaculate member of S.G.M. With his smart brain, he took a great role in analizing the phenomena that invader's dark hands cause.He sometimes scramles in battle scenes. Not alike other members,he is modest and taciturn,but his cool charcter solves many troubles in any scenes.

Mr. Hajime Sugiyama　was basically a musician and an actor belonging to NittkatuCo.,Ltd. He made a music group with his friends.He mainly acted as an supporting role actor in many movies.Regret enough,he resigned as the actor in1970s.In Mirrorman,as the other actors are experts,Mr.Sugiyama was not so given much attention to.but his performances are stable and sometimes superb.

杉山元氏は本来音楽家であり日活に属していた。友達とともにグループを結成していた。主に脇役で多くの映画に出演していたが残念なことに1970年代に引退。ミラーマンでは他の俳優が専門俳優であったのであまり目立たない存在であったが、演技は安定しており時折素晴らしい演技を見せてくれている。

Miss.Yoko Ichiji

ａｓ Yuki Nobura of S.G.M

Yuki Nomura is a smart S.G.M member and secretary of Dr.Mitarai.Surprisingly,as a pilot of Jumbo phoenix,she boarded the Jet fighter, fired missiles from it.Though she was sometimes kidnapped by invaders,she persvererd the peril and attacked invaders with other SGM members.

Miss Ichiji Yoko is a beauty of Showa era.

Still she has many fans even nowadays.

She is a singer and actress,released some

record jakets.In her actress days,she acted as a supporting role actress in TV programs. Her character is subdued and

has something modest.

市地洋子は昭和の世代の美人であり現在でも多くのファンを持っている。俳優であり歌手である彼女はレコードをリリースしていた。俳優時代ではＴＶ番組で脇役で演じた。性格は控えめなところがあるようである。

Miss, Takako Sawai

as Asako Mitarai (of Dr.Mitarai's daughter)

Asako-san,they called her name very friendly-she was the lover of Kyotaro and the daughter of Dr.Mitarai.Being the daughter,as a special member of SGM,she attcked invaders on boarding Jumbo Phoenix.

Miss Takako Sawai graduated from TohoEntertainment Academy and entered "Gekidan kumo" a theatrical company. In her high school days,he was chosen as Miss Kimono .Still now,she sometimes actin TV program. In 2013,she acted in a tv program "Tonbi". Miss Sawai wonderfully

acted in the end episode (No51)of Mirrorman. The episode was regarded as the best among the TV programs at that time.

沢井孝子氏は東宝アカデミー芸能学校を卒業後劇団雲に属していた。高校時代にミス着物として輝いた。今でも演じており2013年には”とんび”に出演。沢井氏はミラーマンの最終回をすばらしく演じており、当時のテレビ番組のなかで最高のものとして評価されている。
